Subject to a trampling mimic's relative?(8)
THR?SHER. My sources don't clearly distinguish between 'e' and 'a'. Any thoughts?

Just this minute downloaded it, MH, but looking in Chambers "thresh" is "subject to beating out, by trampling, to thrash" and the "er" will be the relative indicated. So I shall go with "thresher"

A thrasher is a 'mimic'.

Good morning K. Looking in Chambers, the "e" and "a" seem to be alternatives. Is there a difference. A much easier Mephisto this week, I think

Good morning ALT
Yes both Mephisto & AZED were straightforward today, but you may like to tackle EV as it is an alphabetical jigsaw which I seem to recall you said you enjoyed.

Thank you K - I haven't started Azed yet - on the last one in Mephisto. I've never tried EV - I'll see if I can download it.
You must be either brilliant, or a very early riser.
