I have against, but can't parse it.
29a Valley girl, extremely tender G?E?
I have glen. gl= extremely GirL, but not sure of en.
Help appreciated

T for tense.
Not sure where the "a" comes from?
Against is "on".

I wonder if the clue should read "A tense following gets on"?
That would account for the missing "a"?

Glen for valley.
GirL extremely is GL.
Tender is EN
EN is the abbreviation for Enrolled Nurse.
A nurse is a tender.
Glen looks good?
