Rusty, the o comes from 40a) music with words (4) answer being "song". the word "twice" doesn't fit in

Hi Annilee, I think the answer was TWOFOLD and the number of letters given was a mistake.

There is word "twoer" in Chambers, but it is a different meaning to the clue.
