Done, apart from first and third letters in 21D. Any nudges please?

My first letter comes from Newton, the third letter starts off a 5-letter word.

11a Maybe Crystal's content and Edmund's pleased to drop dead ... i have ?LA??? for the grid entry......something to do with glass or glad ??

8a Facilitate "name" replacing amateur to make one count? ...... EN????

All finished except for the upper unclued answer in the right-hand column. I want the fourth letter to be an O but I have a G from the last letter of 20a.

The fourth letter is definitely a G.
