I am obviously being really dim but I've completed the grid, found the instruction (I think) but haven't got the faintest idea what to do next. Grid staring seems to reveal nothing?

Think of a phrase to do with putting back what you have put back in.

In exactly the same boat here - full grid and instruction but after grid staring for hours I can't see a thing. I can't say I understand Throck's offering either - sure he/she means well but it makes about as much sense as the instruction!

And then of course the moment I keyed that and it hit me. D'oh!

Demeter - it's anagram of dress around kin. There is no wordplay for an E and the definition is at 28dn.
I'm stuck on 2 and 19dn. Help appreciated.

2dn is a type of monkey (South American, various spellings).

19dn is a Spartan infantry group.
