Why are we still looking at RT2? I have one slight niggle
with RT 3. 21d, In link-up,takes leave. E?I?. It would be easy
to put exit, but I can't see it.

I feel the setter has gone a bit awry here and somehow used 'x' to represent 'takes' which of course it doesn't.


Happy to hear if anyone can see anyhting else.

x is "takes " in chess notation.

Weird coincidence. This clue appeared in today's Guardian:
Pitchers titchers? (5)

Some people got mixed up because of a confusion between the two meanings of 7a.
