Devastated to open this website this morning for my weekly battle with the Observer AZED to find that he has hung up his pen - I have learned more from him than I can say and had aspired to finish the puzzle one day
So sorry to be losing Frogman's knowledge, insight and wit. I wish him all the best in his retirement.
I understand he was contacted by a crossword editor last week. Does anyone have the full story?

Also sad to see him go-terrific educator for those wishing to improve their crossword skills. Helluva act to follow- perhaps the regular winners of Azed's competitions could take it on: say the Don or Mr Heald etc. Anyway Frogman-whoever you are- many thanks for your help over the years.
