Nearly there, but can't get third letter to 13ac - because can't parse clue.
Help please?

13 A. Sky Sports misses second hook to lower jaw (4).

I've got Kype, which means hook, lower jaw. I think it's Ky, from Sky and PE/sports, but am not certain.

You make it sound easy, Malone, but I am stuck on what needs doing at stage 5. Please help. I can't see what to remove, why, or what must be replaced, although I presume it's the middle of CC.

I am not clear whether you are meant to delete the highlighting as well as the letters in the cells when you remove the phrase from the CC. I have assumed you do , but am not sure.

Kobnut, I assumed the opposite - and left my highlighting in!

Jogamel, the instruction says 'remove a 6-letter thematic phrase' - the column doesn't have that much in it, there's only so many letters that would form a 'phrase'.

Yes I did see the phrase. Leaving the middle intact then? The highlighting threw me somewhat and I could not see the wood for the trees.

Good, jogamel - but remember 'and rephrase the rest of the CC appropriately'. (You might have done that, but I wasn't sure, you said 'leaving the middle intact').

My silver does not fit with what I want to insert - if that makes sense to you....
