Anyone there? I can't get to grips with the clues today. Any suggestions for 9a? What moves squad occasionally flatters Carol when drunk (9, 2 words). There is a single letter misprint...

I'm finding this difficult. The trouble is the misprints could be anywhere in the clue.

I wonder whether 9a is platters for flatters and then it's p-a-t-r- and carol drunk, giving PATROL CAR.

That's an excellent idea Orson. And I agree, it's difficult knowing where the misprints are. What can be altered in 31d: light year away (4)?

Following on: 11a is older - red and lo reversed. Sensor being amended to senior. So I think 2d is hallo. But why???

I can't help with any of those I'm afraid, jogamel. I've been staring it this all afternoon and I've only solved five clues. 3d is ARES.

Yes I have Ares but little idea on anything else much so maybe it's time to give up

2d is hallo. Beep should be deep, whose opposite is sHALLOw.

I just started doing this.

9a is platter with the answer as what is driven by police (6,3).

13d seems to S???N , a word for refuse. But I do not know how to get Dosh misprint to mean ???.

15a is a musical with growth on your head


6d is anagram of a rat is.

Could 31d be WANY = wan + y means alay?

Sunray, dosh becomes gosh = cor for 13d.
