Anyone doing this? I think there may be an error. 7 dn. 'Brunette gives one a secret sign - magic! (4). I'm assuming it's 'rune', hidden in the clue. 16 across. The time to make up for your sins is 13.00 hours (6). I'm assuming it's 'amend'. However the 'd' at the end of 'amend' is the same light as the 'e' of 'rune'.

OK. I have it now. It's 'atone' not 'amend'.

Andrew is correct.
A Screw is a prison Warden.

The letters of Warden in other words (anagram indicator) = Andrew.

Thanks shooty. It's unorthodox to have a synonym suggested which then supplies the anagram, but well done for spotting it.
