Hello
I am going round in circles trying to get the following bird names (BIRDS OF EUROPE With North Africa and Middle) on a Quiz Sheet!
Can anyone help please?
The clues are followed by the number of letters in the answer :-

A playing card with 37 (4,5)
Small period of work (6)
Lean over the hedge and have? (8,4)
Franciscan straggles without the sizzle (7)

Thank you

Another possibility for 1 is KING EIDER. What is the answer to 37?

I wonder if 4 id Graylag (a kind of goose), since Franciscans are Grey friars?

Can't see the rest, though

Grey something else?
