I'm stuck on two clues. 1d. Administrative division of modern Greece (4). I've got N?N? but can't find an answer. 8d Scottish Geologist, name given to oilrig in North Sea (4,6). I've got H?G? M?L?E? so it looks like Hugh Miller but again I can't find a definitive answer. Any thoughts, anybody?

The BP-operated Miller oilfield in the North Sea was named after Hugh Miller.

I've found the answer to 1d. The second N was wrong. Answer - NOME.
Cheers all,
Andy
