Many thanks Sally. I've just looked up wonk in the dictioary. "Serious chap" etc. Had never heard of it before.

Which dictionary? I can't find "wonk" in either Oxford or Collins....

Hi Ian .Please google the word Wonk. It will define it as a boring student wrapped up in his own issues.
