Think the answer is an Australian animal but cannot parse. Any help appreciated.

Liable is apt.
To lose pressure,
Remove "p" for pressure from apt.
Wombat.

Liable and apt are synonyms of each other.

Actually, it's "liable [b}to" and "apt to" that are synonyms, so it's not quite a fair clue.

(Or does that count as the same? I'm having second thoughts!)

Chris, I do not have a thesaurus, but Collins Online Thesaurus gives them as synonyms of each other.
