Another very tricky one, I thought. One unsolved:
24a Bother to empty fluid on edge (5)
?R?N?

I can think of lots of answers it might be, but can't justify any of them to my satisfaction.

Also 11a Water engineer blocked by one judge (8)
I?R?G?T?

Pretty obvious what the answer is, but the parsing entirely escapes me.

Any hints on either?

Sorry about the double post - the site said that it had blocked me for the "wait 1 minute before another post" rule, but apparently it hadn't done so!

I think 24A is BRINK = edge

BR (bother to empty) + INK (fluid)

Thanks seamus - another dodgy one. I spotted the "empty" trick, but was trying to empty another fluid - WateR, for example.
