26d, as I say, seems to be a name.
27d I'm pretty sure of - I didn't know it, but it is a district in London. 28 d I'm absolutely lost.
33ac seems to be a themed word, and in the list that I've got, there is one that fits the pattern.

OK, that's 27D done, but how can T?R?E?S be a themed word. The only one I can find is TRAVERS.

If it's not themed, then either 26D or 28D must be.

Or have I miscounted?

There is another one that fits that pattern. Have you got a list?

A few! There's also THYREUS, but I shall keep hunting.

I do not have total confidence in V?L?R?E though.

Rob, with the pattern that you have, there is only one word that fits 26 d, and that's a name.

I know. It's my wife's name (although she has an acute accent), so I have a blind spot there.

Please forgive the irrelevant comment.

I shall retire to think, lick wounds and buy roof bars.

You've mentioned THRYEUS - that's what I've got

Yes, but it seemed to be spelt THYREUS on the Shakespearean lists I found. However, it seems acceptable, so thanks. As with V?L?R?E, I can't make it fully agree with the remainder of the clue though.

I doubt 28D is A TOSSER.

Not too sure about Thryeus - what about sir James T-r-e-l? Not that I can explain it from the clue
