Just need help parsing two.
26a) Near end of play perhaps finally lose voice (6)
It has to be Active- Act IV (los)e. But why is active a clue for voice?
23a) Inhabitant of Tower fearing to be executed (5)
R?V?N. This has to be raven, l get the tower Inhabitant bit, but why fearing to be executed?

Active can mean of that voice.

26 The Active voice is different to the Passive voice. Something like 'I ate the cakes' as opposed to 'The cakes were eaten'.

23 Craven = fearing, and take its head/first letter off.
