stuck on 2 clues, I think I have the answer to one but I could be totally wrong, help appreciated

13ac/27d not an easy judgement this... (4,4) *a*d **l* I think hard call or even hard wall, there is another clue immediately after that starting with an ellipses, hewn is the answer [anagram of when] so I assume it is connected in some way "when unevenly cut"

27ac track that which follows an aircraft - at 16 longtitude perhaps? 8 letters **N*R*I*
[16d the clue was ________________H2O________

27A looks like CONTRAIL

Hard call looks good. Sorry I can't get a grip on the other one.

Colllins Dictionary gives contrail as another word for a vapour trail. Jolan isn't known for being wrong.
