Some excellent solves recently (and quickly) dagnabit. Very good.

It looks as though everyone`s finished today! I`m stuck on the top right corner. Very few letters in. If I could have some help with 8 ac ` Room to iron in religious building (9) I might get the others. Help, please ! Mags.

Room is the definition; put "iron" in a religious home.

btw 3d is a medical term I hadn't heard of. It parses well, but I needed confirmation from my (doctor) wife.

I have an answer for 15a, Ray to name old airline in charge, *U*B*A*.
It fits the definition of a ray, and includes an old airline (merged with BOAC to form BA), but I cannot understand the rest of the clue.
(Deliberately avoided giving my answer at this stage).
Advice appreciated.
