SHEDS is correct for 12D. Shedding is dividing a flock of sheep.

I'm not convinced, but could 17A be JILTED?

Stuck on the top-left corner of the Wee Stinker at the moment. I'll get on to the big one later.

Thanks Seamus, wasn't aware of that meaning of shed. Like you, not convinced by jilted. My only thought had been missed, but don't like that either.
