Is there an error in 1ac? I have a full grid otherwise, and suspect I have the answer to it but the suggested anagram contains one 'O' too few and one 'E' too many!

There's an error/misprint in the final word of the clue. (I don't have the paper to hand, so can't give the details.)

...the clue would need 'crior' rather than 'crier' in order for the wordplay to work.

Thanks everyone, looks like a big time foul up given CRIOR isn't even a word. Very shoddy mistake and got past the crossword editor too.

These things happen... At least there is no ambiguity regarding the correct solution.
