Having trouble with the wordplay for a couple....

23a Countering force spot opening against Spain (8) - ANTIDOTE (Countering force)

It looks like DOT for 'Spot' and E for 'Spain' but that leaves ANTI unparsed, so I think I may be wrong.

24d Missile picked up by European groundsman? (5) - TRADE

I can see DART (Missile Rev.) + E(uropean) but could it be any 'Trade' or is there a specific reason it's 'Groundsman'?

Anti is against so the solution is correct
