Welcome to Clueless, our informal weekly clue setting competition.

The idea is to compose a cryptic clue to a given word or phrase.

The winner of the previous week's competition both sets the word to be clued and judges the entries for the current week.

The judge's decision is final and reasons may or may not be given at the judge's discretion. It is customary for the judge to award a virtual prize to the winner.

Multiple entries may be submitted and new competitors are particularly welcome.

Clues should be submitted by 6.00pm BST on Wednesday 22nd June with the winner being announced shortly after.

This week's answer to be clued is:

WELCOME (7)

Have fun.

Tweak to mine @4 - I've checked on a more detailed map, and the place I was thinking of is actually called Welcombe Mouth, not Haven - pity, - and it's also in Devon (just!).

Appreciate coastal hideaway in Devon- no British. (7)

Long ago I was taken by my mother to visit the poet Ronald Duncan, who lived there (my mother was teaching his daughter, Bryony, at the time). Duncan loved the place because it was so tucked away and difficult to find, virtually no-one went there. The SW Coastal Path has changed that a bit!
