Hi, John.
26d is an old Scots word for "day's work". The People's Friend used to have a "Love .a.g" where readers sent in knitwear.
9a is a Biblical pagan king, starts with a 3 letter palindromic exclamation, followed by an abbreviation gor Black.
15d. D used to represent a coin, so two of them eould be....
