Thanks syzzie. I haven't quite finished but have had the penny-drop moment. Without saying too much, we called it something else. 36 ac a new word for me.

Thanks yet again syzygy, as rosalind says a nice PDM with the unclueds providing the "definition" a nice touch. I particularly liked the surfaces in 39a & 8d.
