"Take" for R, abbreviation of the Latin word recipe, meaning "take".

R for 'take' has popped up in a few recent crosswords. It's in Chambers, under 'r' - 'recipe (in italics), Latin, take'. If you look up 'recipe' the same information about it being Latin is there.
