Has anyone done this one? I think I've finished, except for the last unclued solution. which I can't relate to the other seven unclued solutions.

As a hint perhaps, what is St IV about?

I would advise paying particular attention to the last part of the section headed 'Tools of the IQ trade', 'Chambers, the dictionary of choice for most barred puzzles, is particularly recommended today'.

Without giving too much away, I can only add that you should look at alternative meanings for each of the seven words that you have found.

rotate looks good for definition of spin and rot fits root , take o/nothing away...
3d Take nothing away from Root, getting stuck into pace and spin (6) ... "and" is in italics
