I have some crossing letters but they don't really help as some letters are missed out/changed before entry...
8d Discreet and extremely liable to shuffle away from the capital (13)
36a lamb product, perhaps? Yes, a singular stew (5)

34a Various unionist English strike in the wrong way (6) crossing letters suggest "miscue" but can't really parse it ??

Misc is an acceptable abbreviation of miscellaneous/various.
Miscue looks fine.
