Thanks , could see that sand and smooth can mean the same thing , it was rog's reference to smooth numbers that was a problem for me.....but if shorthand for square is 's' ( however I used 'sq' at school ) and 'also' equates to 'and' , that construction of 'sand' is pretty direct.
