I think you must have some letters wrong in 34D, as the Kenyan anthropologist who discovered 'Homo Habilis' in 1972 was RICHARD LEAKEY.

I should have also said that his parents Mary & Louis Leakey had discovered incomplete specimens in 1962 & 1964, so they might be the answer too.
