Can't get going today - could someone help me please with

Could it be george medal? "egload" round "gem" - not sure about the extra r and e??

George medal: yellow (OR - gold) GEM (jewel) in load, for example, lifted (LADE EG) ergo:
GE(OR)GEM(ADEL)

I found this quite easy, and finished at 8.20 - though I did start quite early.

Yes, the time lag is a bit of a problem. Occasionally snag the Spectator puzzle Wednesday midnight (08:00 GMT Thursday), but don't get started until the next morning, when you folks are usually just about finished. Hard to add my two cents worth. Sometimes it works.
If you are interested in conversing outside this forum, perhaps we can exchange addresses. To ensure anonymity I can set up a temporary account at Yahoo or gmail to do that, rather than posting them here. Check this thread in a couple of days. I doubt anyone else will. If you have a better method, let me know. That would be useful elsewhere.

Don't feel obligated though. We can continue as before.
