I am really baffled by the top left hand corner.
Can anyone help with 1across-clumsy person breaking section in wall (7)
I only know it starts with p!
I might be able to do 2,3 and 4diwn then!

I would never have thought of ape...
I've found a lot of this crossword difficult to parse.
Is it just me?

I nearly posted to ask about PARAPET too, but convinced myself (just!) that APE = CLUMSY PERSON.

No, I didn't have any trouble this week with the parsing - but I did find the top left corner harder than the rest of the puzzle.
I usually work through systematically, starting at the top left, but had to abandon that principle this week!

clumsy person/ape seemed fine to me but was 'section' double duty?
overall i thought it was very good.

I parsed it as follows, Trev.........
Parapet = wall (def)
ape - clumsy person
part - section

?

i'm sure that's right elle. cheers :)
