Hi,
The clue is "Swimming below vessel with half a sign?" (7)
The answer is "Subaqua" - I can equate "Sub" with "swimming below vessel" but fail to see the logic of "aqua" with the rest of the clue.
Life's too short to let these things bug one, but that's the way it is.
Ready to slap head when all is revealed!

Sub is the vessel and aqua is half of aquarius (a sign of the zodiac)
