Based on your thoughts, the "glen" might be a "vale"instead. Is the definition to do with bonding?

Company - CO
Books - NT
Glen (=VALE) is entered inbetween = COVALENT
And in chemistry, a 'covalent bond' is a type of connection that binds atoms together.
