Thanks sudokulover. I think I've finished !!!! But need to check out the 8 clues and the clued light to shade ! lol ;o)

Well, four hours late but (I think) everything solved EXCEPT 42A. I've ?al?o? and can't identify the extra word which defines this answer. Hope I'm right in deducing that the 'o' is the misprinted letter based on the shaded light.
Help gratefully received.

Iris ... look at 31a , if I'm correct .... I think a word in that clue will give 42a ! ;o)

Just got it before seeing your post SB - honest! One of the easier ones really, but that's how it is! Thanks again for earlier and present assistance, will know where to come next time.
