I would just like to add that although past bank-
holiday specials by Araucaria may have the edge on this one, overall it has been a tremendous achievement for him to fit in all the themes, given the relatively small grid and the fact that he has been doing these "specials" for so long. It cannot be easy to keep finding new themes where would-be solvers have a chance to finish each crossword! So as far as I'm concerned, a little bit of poetic licence is permissible - well done, Araucaria, and I find your monkey puzzles always intriguing!
