Could someone see if they have an old edition of Chambers to see if there is a word called either mee-mee or mei-mei or mie-mie. I suspect it is the latter. Current edition does not have!

The word may not be in the current paper version of Chambers but it does appear in their excellent, and considerably cheaper smartphone/tablet app.

"Meemie" is in my 2003 version of Chambers.
It is also under "scream".
I agree about the Chambers app.
It is very good indeed and a snip at the price.
