PECKER (resolve) with R (runs) 'scored' (ie rubbed out) = PECKE, Shakespearean form of 'peck', to pitch.

Pecke is an old Shakespearean word meaning 'pitch' - I don't know how the rest of the clue works!

Graeae. (Grace = elegance and the 'c' for about/circa goes). It's plural, goddesses - which I think was what the clue had?
