For 29a I put DEAN clue is The 9th was his to make, but only three were made by Jimmy 4 ?E?N

I'd agree with 'Dean' for 20a.

Not sure about 26d. I've seen 25a as 'Big Lie'. But why not simply 'The Lie'. That could give you 'Hook' for 26d - I hope that makes sense to you.
