Seem to be in a pickle at the centre of this one. For 34a with its reference to sauce I was going for KETCHUP ... which suggested 26d "come to grips with weightlifting equipment" would be TACKLE. But my ketchup was stymied (?can you stymie ketchup??!") by 31d "outstanding university, one occupying new accommodation" where I'd gone for UTOPIA. That's obviously wrong. Can anyone unscramble this for me please?
