As per usual, having trouble with the parsing for a couple, help greatly appreciated....

46a. Revolutionary award the writer's received? Nonsense (5,3) - TOMMY ROT (Nonsense)

I thought 'The writer's' might be MY, but that's about it.

42d. Unit of length's name a small number concerned about (9) - NANOMETRE (Unit of length)

No matter how I parse this I always end up with the T unaccounted for.

42d I think you may find that the clue is "convened about" not "concerned about" MET=Convened

I hope that helps

Yes, cannieannie, thank you, having the corect wording for the clue helps enormously!

This makes Trev's parsing quite explicit.........

Nanometre =unit of length
N - name
a no - a small number
met - convened
re - about
