47d l.p.n curtailed row about winning flower. I can only guess at LUPIN,or maybe it is a river! Whatever it is I can't parse it. Any help out there?
This was a funny old crossword. How many people knew the expression "behind the eight ball?" 44a meaning a difficult situation. It was obvious how each word was arrived at but only Mr Google could explain it. Wonder if I will ever have he opportunity to use it.
