A newspaper X-word puzzle asks for a 4 letter word for : A day's work. The correct answer for all crossing words make the answer: D A R G
I have searched many dictionaries but cannot find this word.Does it exist?? It is not a cryptic.

ps. A little tip,(i bet you wish you'd never asked now!!)Google is quite good at finding definitions.
Type,define,followed by a colon and then the word.
eg define:darg

According to my Concise OED 'darg' is defined as follows:

darg n. (Sc.) Day's work; definite amount of work, task. [ME, f. daywerk or daywark day-work]

(Sc. = Scottish; ME = Middle English)

New one on me as well!!

Thanks to all of you that came up with the answer.Whoever compiled for the Melbourne Herald Sun must have scraped that up in the historical Museum.
