Just got a couple of days before this closes on 1/4. There are 50 cryptic clues each leading to names of musical instruments. I am stuck on 2.

40 Spanish squid without the French letters (7)
50 What Mrs Grundy might fish with?? (8)

Here are a few examples of ones I have solved if that helps get into the mindset...
Poetic greeting for Archer's weapon
OBOE
Two degrees around edge
MARIMBA
Citroen model mobile
SAXOPHONE

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give.

For the solution to 50 you need to listen to the Archers on Radio 4. Eddie Grundy's wife is called "Clarrie" and you have to think what she might use to catch fish.

Many thanks for the help.
as for the Archers - lol - I have spent aeons researching Mrs Grundy / Solomon grundy etc but not the Archers! I did think Clarinet for the net part - I just could not tie it back.
