Greetings all RT-ers
Finally finished, after too long spent over one clue. (20a)
I took a guess as I had not heard of the trick, in my ignorance, but Mr. Google confirmed.
All clues parse well.

Hi jazzy
Finished quite quickly (I did know the trick), but I thought a couple of clues were a bit unfair. 1d certainly (no indication of what type of month, without giving too much away), and 9d - unless I'm missing something the first word is clued in a very obscure fashion.

hi Chris
1d I thought was clever. It is the 11th month of a certain calendar as Im sure you know
9d The first word of the clue is the surname of someone. The RT setter has a habit of using that tyoe of clue, which I agree is a bit obscure

I didn't miss anything on 9 then - that's how I parsed it. A not very well known Bolt, then. I would like to see Usain in the Scottish play!

Chrise I thought Robert Bolt the playwright and Robert Carlyle who played Hamish Macbeth on TV.
I`m still stuck on 23 ac and 21 d. I knew the pilot one - ex RAF wife Mags.

Bit of a spoiler there, Mags!

23 is a commercial name, I think - a type of material

21 is my favourite. "Parking" is the usual

Thank you Jazzgirl. As often happens I got them both as soon as I`d asked. Sorry - I gave away too much but I thought Chrise already had the answer. I should have realised others may not. Mags.
