Please can anyone tell me how to get rid of them?
They appear as blue highlighted enlarged uppercase random words in the text with a green semi circle and arrow to the right of them.
If I put the cursor on the word an ad appears but I have never clicked on to any.
I use a laptop and they only seem to appear on this forum. It make reading posts difficult at times.
Is anyone else troubled by these gremlins?

Sounds horrible, Rossim!
I do not get ads anymore.
I installed Adblockplus and that got rid of them.
Firefox have it as an add-on for their browser, too.
Let Norah know.
Ads should not be so intrusive.

Rossim, Cloudscout appears to be adware.
It has infected your computer.
Try running Malwarebytes (free) to get rid of it.
Usually very effective.

Hope this is useful. I can't vouch for it, but it sounds sensible.

Thanks Rusty but this is happening even with Adblockplus installed. I don't get any other ads.

It's the highlighted text that's annoying. The ads only appear if I put the cursor on these random words and at least they don't flash!

The word INSTALLED is one of eight that's highlighted on this page and the ad is for crosswordsolver survey!

I shall let Norah know. Thanks.

Yes, that is very sensible!
Rossim, when/if you download it, make sure you untick any boxes that offer to protect your computer for a fee.
The free one is all you need.
Good luck!

Rossim, Adblock cannot help.
Your computer is infected.
Malwarebytes will fix it.
Somehow cloudscout has got into your computer attached to some programme.

Thanks Chrise and Rusty.
I'd rather try it myself than bother Norah if I can.
I'll have to leave it till later as I have a hair appointment soon.

Quite right, Rossim, your hair-do comes first!

This link is from the Malwarebytes forum.
It explains Cloudscout and how to remove it.
Basically download Malwarebytes and run it.
I have used this before and can assure you it is effective.
Be interesting to hear how you get on?
