Late finishing this stinker. I have managed to parse all, except for 46a
Tolerant of one taking Beethoven's late pieces in fast time (7)
I have LENIENT (tolerant)

Poor clue if I'm right. I think it's LENT (fast time) around I (one) and beethovEN's "late pieces".

Thanks Chris. I am not keen on "late pieces" meaning last two letters. However, your parsing looks right.
I kept thinking (mistakenly) of "fast" meaning "quick" so no wonder I was stuck.

...and in music terms, lento is slow time which muddled my brain even more :(
