Haven't had rime to look at No. 1158 yet, but was wondering about 14 Ac:- "Italian city hospital with capital - three-quarters going west". (3,4) (S-N -E-O)
It seems that I'm looking for an Italian city but I
can't think of one to fit, and if it should be "SAN" for
the hospital bit, this prefix would normally apply to Spanish cities.

Thanks, one and all - I should have remembered
San Remo, famous for a song festival, I believe! (I don't
know if it's still held here). I couldn't see San Remo in a
list of Italian cities I looked at, so I guess that it must have a comparatively small population.
