Mostly easy this week, but I'm stuck on one and have question marks, for various reasons, against three others.

Any hints on 5d?
River rodent rises to the surface (6)
?A?T?C

(although the T comes from one I have a question mark against)

Right to question it - it should be M

?A?M?C

I think the T might be an M ?

..........and so that gives me 5d!

I'm fairly sure I have the right answer, but I can't parse it.

2d The definition is WRONG!.

I won't spoil your enjoyment by giving the crossers for 15d, then - I'll wait to see what you come up with.

The clue at 2d that has attracted my displeasure is:
Add to chemical mixture (8)

It's a DD, and it's the second definition that would have got a cross beside it if any of my students had written it!

Hi chrise, my fat Homer fingers brought me here by accident but in 15d a 2 letter shortened form of a "promotion" removed from the front of a 10 letter word for "manage" ?
