Hi Norah and Ash
Why is it that addresses that start "https" aren't clickable links on this site, but just removing the "s" (to give "http") makes them so?

I don't know the technical reason, I don't 'do' technical in any shape or form, but I do know that the 's' stands for 'secure' and we can't access secure sites.

Ash runs the Webcomics List comic site and I can't access comic that say https, remove the 's' and I can open the comic OK.

Ash isn't avilable today but I'll check and post the answer as soon as I can.

Thanks, Norah. It's not urgent; I'm just curious.

Chris, Ash says that he has amended the coding so that https links can now be accessed. Apparently the Webcomic List works in a different way and doesn't need access to secure sites. However, the Crossword site should have been able to link to secure sites all along.

Thanks very much for pointing this out, very much appreciated as it's only taken around 7 years for someone to tell us!!

Syzygy, I presume you are saying the HTTPS link doesn't work?

I have emailed Ash and asked him to have a look. I'll get back to you when I hear from him.
